MABA Purpose and Objectives
As stated in the Articles of Incorporation, the purpose of this organization shall be for the advancement and betterment of the Marshall Area businesses, the business district and of the Marshall community as a whole.
The president shall cause application for state and federal tax exempt status to be made, and such status shall be kept in force through the subsequent annual reports as required by the Internal Revenue Service and the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.
Section 1. Research and Publications.
The resources of this organization may be used for publications ranging from site maps, business listings, to the printing and distribution of newsletters, periodicals and such other literature as it may relate to the member businesses.
Books and research materials and such other literature or publications related to the betterment of businesses and the community business area not created by this organization may be purchased for the organization’s use and distribution.
The purpose of books and literature available in the foregoing paragraphs may be made for free distribution to members, schools, libraries, and such other institutions as determined by the Board of Directors.
Section 2. Other Programs and Activities.
The expenditure of funds to pay for speakers and other expenses of meetings and special events for the membership and/or for the general public; for tours; business development and related activities and administrative and operating costs; and for other programs, projects, or activities for the furtherance of the purpose for which this organization is incorporated may be made in the manner approved by the Board.
